DataBreeze stores all database configuration and user data in simple text files. These files contain sensitive information and should only have read/write access by the Apache ModPerl Web Account.

DataBreeze Metadata Download the latest version of DataBreeze metadata. This is the full version of the metadata, including the system, demonstration and template databases. This version should be used on a new DataBreeze installation. Download the latest version of the system metadata. This metadata archive contains only metadata for the 'system' database. This version should be used on an existing DataBreeze System. The system database provides the Administration interface and some End User functionality and is essential to DataBreeze operation. DataBreeze is designed so that the Source Code and system metadata can be updated without affecting other parts of the system. Updates may be frequent. When a new version of the Source Code Library is available, there will typically be a new version of the system metadata also. When updating the Source Code on an existing DataBreeze system, it is only necessary to update the system database within the metadata. All other databases can be left untouched.
